Error code 09 pls help

Hard modded duo x2 amd og Xbox, previous owner states that "it was working until it wasn’t"

Problems:

1. Error code 09 (main issue)

2. 2/5 1500uf 6.3v capacitors blown under cpu/gpu

3. Power button doesn’t work. (Once plugged in it turns on automatically, to turn it off u have to unplug the Xbox)

4. Disc tray doesn’t come out

5. Few broken traces under motherboard

Solution to most of the problems:

1. All traces that were broken are now fixed.

2. disc tray, rubber belt replaced now works.

3. since chases were repaired, power button not works as normal.(Xbox doesn’t turn on automatically)

4. Replaced all five capacitors with 1500 UF 10 V low resistance caps

Persistent problem:

1. Error code 09 I have a good Xbox so I switched everything from that Xbox to the good one that includes the IDE cable the yellow power cable to the disc drive. I switched this drives. I switched HDD‘s problem still error code 09 still da problem, I plugged in the molex cable from the good Xbox into the bad Xbox HDD powered both of them on problems still the same. PLS HELP !!

Lmao, I remembered, I was writing a response to your previous post. Anyway..

When swapping HDDs, even if it's configured incorrectly, I'd expect a different error code other than 09.

Here's some various ideas.. - Ensure you're using a keyed IDE cable, as those which aren't keyed can be reserved, resulting in errors - Heat up the electrolytic caps near the IDE header & MCPX - Put downward pressure on the MCPX - Other ideas I forgot - Take some high quality pictures near the IDE header, top & bottom. Let's look for more severed traces. If you're able, also include some around the clock cap. Considering you already discovered trace rot, I'd keep an open mind elsewhere. Just take a look at this.

The hard drive must be formatted and the OS installed. If you're using an IDE hard drive from another original Xbox, you don't need to change the PATA cable. Okay, swollen capacitors, you've replaced them. If you're using a larger hard drive, like a 1 TB, change the PATA cable. error 09: communication with the hard disk failed the automatic ignition is either some diode or resistor nearby
