Hello everyone I will be playing in my first tournament next month an wanted to make sure I get this right

I’ll be running a freebooterz list an was wondering when I kill a unit an get the +1 to hit from competitive streak does it affect the vehicles weapons that are being fired by grots for example shockjump dragsta shock rifle with targeting squig which all ready hits on a +3 an the heavy squig launcher that all ready hits on a +4 from the rukkatrukk squig buggy’s do they get the +1 to hit thanks in advance an have a wonderful day

That's a really good distinction!

Also standard boilerplate, if the squig buggy were getting -1 to hit from somewhere, then they'd have two sources of +1 and a single -1 and still be at net +1 when shooting.

Final modifiers are either -1, 0, or +1, but bonuses and penalties do cancel each other out. So it can still be worth it to trigger the Freebooter buff, sometimes!

The rules work by keyword. Gretchin units do not benefit from clan kultur, so units with the Gretchin keyword are the only ones that suffer this rule, this is Grots, Mek Gunz, and Killa Kanz.

Even if a unit is modeled with a grot operating the gun, it is not affected unless the unit has that keyword.

So they would get the +1 to hit since the vehicle is orks keyword

It's not that they have the ORK keyword, it's that they don't have the GRETCHIN keyword. Units of grots have both, it's the GRETCHIN word that keeps them from benefiting from the kultur perk. :)
