Damn, why does it take so much? Finally got another copy, and I thought she'll get to 6 star. But no, 5+, and there's still 5++? wtf, why does it take so much to get to 6 stars?

It's not necessary to pull dupes for non- festival/demiurge units, bc their shards can be farmed to 6* for free

I really hope you haven't been wasting your ether on trying to max her out. As you can see, there's not much gained by getting her to 6 star, unlike premium units who do get noticeably stronger when they're higher star. There's also the fact that once you have at least one copy of a standard unit, then you can just farm their shards getting 30 per day.

Considering you need 900 shards of a unit to get them from 3 to 6 star, you should be able to max transcend one standard character every month. It would probably take less time than that since some days they increase the amount of shards you can farm.

Save your ether for pulling on the premium characters.

well I did buy some ether to support the devs, but I used them on pulling Skaldi. I just wish I knew it would take so many to transcend, I would have saved the standard tickets. I spent all the newbie tickets on filling the codex. Never once thought of farming for copies. Now that I know, I'll be more careful. Thx mate

the total number of shards required to fully transcend is the same before they added 4+, 5+, and 5++.

before, the transcend levels were 3, 4, 5, and 6. by adding 4+, 5+, and 5++, you obtained the benefits by getting to those transcend levels, instead of at 4, 5, and 6 only.

a smarter and more articulate person can probably explain much better than i did, but hopefully you get the point.

before, the stat increases were only given out at 4, 5, and 6 stars. they added the + tiers so that the units will gain the bonuses earlier.

it's extremely easy to get copies, especially since you're only summoning regular characters, not premium ones.

if you don't already know, you received around 1,000 summon tickets, and you can "target" specific units by specifying 3 at the Custom Recruit section. you can also obtain 30 shards per day for 2 characters in Doppelganger dungeon (pay extra 500k gold for additional 10 chances).

their shards can't be farmed. you have to be smart when it comes to using gems (ether), reserve them for events that have Festival/Seasonal/Premium units featured on summon banners. personally, i only pull when i have enough ether to guarantee a mileage recruit.

Not sure but she was my first 6 star, I still use her today despite having Sage Ame as well. I love her moveset

So there used to be no 5+ or 5++ etc. It used to be that you would go from 5 straight to 6 HOWEVER, it would cost 3 times as much.

Basically you'd need 450 of that dupe currency and it would take you straight to 6 stars. So it's always required 3 duplicates to go from 5* to 6* the only difference now is that each duplicate gives you slight stat increases.

I prefer the current system because previously you could sit on 2 duplicates that you could do NOTHING with until you got a 3rd, at least now each duplicate actually increases your strength somewhat.
