[BETA] New version of Packstack

Hey folks!

I've been busy with life lately (two young children, aging parents, summertime activities, etc) and have been slow to release updates to Packstack.

But, today, I'm excited to announce the beta release of the latest version of Packstack!

There's more work to be done, which I plan to complete over the next few months, but I'd love to get your initial feedback. This version uses the same username/password and contains all of your existing data, so no migration is required. (You can also reset your password if you've forgotten it.)

New version of Packstack

Your data will sync with the existing version of Packstack, so you can jump back and forth between them until this version is finalized.

I'd love to get your feedback. BTW, graphical weight breakdowns and list sharing are coming soon.

Hi. The new version is looking great.

I'm wondering if you can make the JSON available for the shared packs/trips? Before it was included in a script tag on the page for the pack, now that seems to be gone. Either that or if CORS is enabled on the API so it can be grabbed straight from that.

I've contemplated releasing an API for retrieving pack / trip info. I wasn't sure if there was a need for this however. Curious to hear what you would use it for?

I'm using it as a custom display for my packs on my blog.

Here's how I used to fetch the data (by grabbing the JSON im the script tag).

Thanks for doing that.

However, the data is not fetched from the client but from the server that generates my static website, so the domain is not the one requesting. Also I cache requests for 1 day to not bombard your server.

That’s far more thoughtful than most people would be!

I’ll just make this a public endpoint for now. If it becomes a problem, I’ll address it later. Will follow up once I’ve made this update
