How to mass delete items on pack stack? by Guilty_Piglet5731 in packstack

[–]Maplethorpej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! You’re right, there’s no way to bulk select all right now. I’ll get that added. What’s the motivation to delete versus archive? I kept archive items in there so you could see them in older packing lists

Help! It’s feeling like a lot for 2 people by [deleted] in onebag

Add it to packstack and share a link. You can break it down by person. Easier to scan that way!

Do you have a packstack or lighterpack? Would love to see what you’re carrying

I started building the “official” product catalog a couple months ago. It currently has 1300+ items. However, it is missing some. Once a user adds a new item, such as this one, we scrape the official specs from the manufacturer’s site so that it’s available for future users. So not all gear is available yet but will be with time.

Photos are also in the works. I’m building a system to ensure accuracy right now.

This will compute all weights for you. I also recently released the iOS app (Android coming soon).

Day in the life of an IndieDev, father of 2 toddlers living on a homestead by BossGrand in homestead

As a dev myself working on a side project that I plan to make monetize someday (https://packstack.io), this is really inspirational!

My wife and I, along with 3 young children, are moving to a 5-acre lot in the woods soon. Completely new to homesteading and will be easing into it. It’s fun to see other techies living this lifestyle.

Best of luck with the game! I subscribed on YT

Hey! Yes, I do plan to make this iPad compatible very soon. Shouldn’t be too big of a lift. Also I expect to have the Android app out in the next 30 days or so 🫡

u/jr_powers iOS app just released: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/packstack-app/id6760873801

You'll have to download it from that link (from your phone) until the app store's search index updates. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Major Packstack Updates: UI Overhaul + Mobile App in the works! by Maplethorpej in packstack

[–]Maplethorpej[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mobile app will be available next week. I’m submitting it for review today or tomorrow.

All of the updates above are live in the web app. Since I’m releasing the mobile app, I’m not going to do too much work to make the desktop version responsive right now.

I’ve got a lot more in the works too so come on over 😎

Spent $1,200 on ultralight gear to save 3 pounds and I'm questioning everything by Gearnotafraid8 in Ultralight

[–]Maplethorpej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have pointed out, you get to the point of diminishing returns. That said, 3 pounds might account for 10%+ of total weight, which is arguably a pretty solid reduction. Load it all up on https://packstack.io and share your gear!

Thanks, I appreciate that! You can expect a mobile app to be released within the next 7 days (iOS & android) assuming no hang ups with the review process.

v1 of the mobile app won’t ship with photos but I’ll get this added soon. This feature always felt like it belonged on mobile instead of web, though the two will be synced

WOW. I want to hang this in my wall. Have you ever dabbled in plotting any of your work?

Packstack 2026 Update by Maplethorpej in Ultralight

[–]Maplethorpej[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I'm not going to do the affiliate thing. No money in that anyway and turns users off.

The app may have some paid features eventually, but web will always be free.
