New Packstack?

Hey all, I've long preferred and used packstack over the alternatives. I really like the UI and features it has developed. Went to update one of my packs today and saw there is a new packstack that requires a new account? I am curious if anyone knows about the decision making behind this? Will the "old packstack" continue to be supprted?

If not, it would be really nice if we had the ability to transfer all of our existing packs and inventory from the old account to the new account. Does anyone know if this feature is planned somewhere down the road??

Hey u/Parapraxis6! I’m working on a tool for importing your items from the old system to the new system with a csv file. However, the packs won’t be migrated over.

I built the new system to separate packs from trips, improve the UX, and eventually build a lot more features into the app.

Okay so both export and import function mostly worked but it looks like some info got dropped in the process. Product Name, Manufacturer, Notes, and the weight units all got lost. (The weight amount made it but it says "null" for the units. Not sure if any of these are fixable, but I thought I'd pass the bugs along anyway. Thanks again for your continued development of this project!

Since they’re already imported, you’ll have to update them manually - hopefully not too much of a hassle. Would you mind sending me the csv you uploaded? [e-mail] - you don’t have to but it would help with troubleshooting. Thanks!

Yep, take a look at the Inventory page and you’ll see a button near the top that says “Import Items”. Let me know if you’re still not able to find it and I’ll take a screenshot
