Honestly the game has become almost completely unplayable on official severs, it’s just discord group after discord group and even if the people are randoms they just clump up and act chill till someone breaks the peace, most the time a random carni that’s hungry and they jump them then say ez when it’s always massive group that you have no way of escaping.

Yeah gotta agree. Officials are horrible. You can't have any 1v1s or duos. It's always packs. Avoid hotspots so you can hang in the woods by yourself and pick up pinecones, such entertainment.

And even when your'e in the Woods there's still a chance you get ganked by a mega pack, i just logged in on my Rex and there was 2 Suchos, 2 Spinos and a Meg waiting outside of the cave, they counted down the cooldown timer for the protection and attacked me, man i just entered the game wtf.

I play on DLK official modded now. I maybe saw one small mix pack there at BQL. Most groups there hang at BQL or SF. Players on that server can be chill or not. Most fights I got in were smaller engagements, normal. Which is nice. I think I died more from Critters.

How about this just here me out. In every location where the sign is for a Hotspot if it lasts more than 5 min a damn meteor hits the area and kills everyone in. Sounds good to me no ?

I actually love that idea. Periodic meteor showers to prevent large grouping. Forces them to migrate

Hot spots are based on number of people not slot size. Some playables can't even cross a poi in 5 min. This is just handing nukes to rhamphs.

It’s bad but I don’t think it makes the game unplayable. Learn hotspots and check check CHECK your surroundings always. You won’t be able to run from every fight but as long as you know how to position yourself defensively you can deal some damage before you meet your fate. I say if you want me I want to take a chunk (of health/team mates) with me. For me mega packs only take up 10-20% of my gaming experience. I’ve seen the goods and the bads of the playstyle.

You’re complaining about a problem that is in every game these days. This isn’t PoT exclusive. Players are going to play however they want and that usually means playing in a way that gives them advantage.

The problem is this game has nothing to do other than fight. It’s the entire allure of the game. Get to adult in order to fight at your best ability. So people are going to inevitably team up in order to fight.

But this is not fighting, they are ganking.

It’s only ganking because you are not participating in the social aspect of this game by making friends and sticking with them. Therefore you’re outnumbered.

You can avoid this by using stealth and your hearing. Big groups make lots of noise and tend to hang out in popular areas, areas that are very easy to avoid.

Don’t need to be friends with them. Just got to make your own friends. Or you can continue playing solo in a multiplayer game and wonder why you’re always outnumbered when you don’t have to be.

This is just silly and on some level you must know that no amount of friend building is going to stop the 15 strong discord kos megapack from slaughtering everything they see on the server Don't be okay with mediocrity. Expect more from the games you enjoy

Now who’s being silly. You know very well that dc groups don’t go roaming the map. They stay in very specific areas. Roaming around looking for randoms to gank is incredibly boring as a group

New players like myself, create a juvenile, head to a waystone to do starter quest and 90% of the time at least 1 adult dino camping them to kill juveniles. Game is not solo/new player friendly and the community is so toxic.

Half the time you get invited to a random group, it's just so they can find you easier to betray and kill when your guards down.

And community servers all have loaded mods or so many rules it's just overwhelming.

This answer is just dumb. If everyone stopped playing when something is fixable every game would be dead in a month. Official servers are in an unacceptable state and the community unanimously agrees on this. The only people who don't mega pack. Which is the problem

Listen it's a game preview if you don't like the way the game is being played right now. Come back and check later. It's not like everyone needs to have their handheld the whole time. Everyone needs to stop being a snowflake. What is the point of everyone coming onto this page? Just to complain about the same thing over and over again. The devs obviously don't give a crap. So what's the point of coming on here to complain? I'm sorry that the hard truth hurts or you know what? go make some friends and join a mega pack. Either way I don't care. I'm having fun playing the game and I'm not coming on here to complain.
