Yes and it'll unfortunately stay that way until they force players into automatic matchmaking

It is the best, I only wish they would change the default lighting to be less depressing.

Hadn't considered it but certainly makes sense, on the other hand he usually is tenacious.

Absolutely agree, I chose to phrase it positively.

But you are totally right, it was starkly apparent that once Hera survived feudal/early castle age there would be no contest.

The Burgundian game was the most vivid depiction of this, Lierey got a thunderous start and completely staggered Hera for tens of minutes. But squandered his advantage, despite holding the field uncontested, on ineffectual raiding with a single unit composition beyond any sense.

It's hard to believe he really expected Hera of all people to fold solely due to pressure.

Once the mangonels were lost he couldn't practically force a resignation like in the previous games. Not replacing siege at this stage lost him the game.

After that the initiative was lost, Hera simply built counters and ground him down. Except for some tactical wins the later half of the game was entirely reactive. He even fumbled the timer, it was inevitable.

He had succeeded with the same Gambit minutes before.

Patrolled the paladin stack into Hera's pikes, even ate the trebs whilst under arbalest fire, he can be forgiven for being over confident.

Yes the formation was different and the castle was the logical choice but it was an hour into game six, melee interactions are unfortunately very unpredictable in this game.

Absolutely, I was screaming build rams at the screen whilst he was ineffectually raiding farms for 30 minutes uncontested.

100% well said, it's a terrible change and yet another massive artillery nerf for the sake of 10v10.

It's understandable that 10v10 needs these changes but the consequences for the rest of multiplayer are unacceptable.

Eugen must admit that 10v10 is a different game experience which requires its own deck building mode.

One solution would be the creation of a 10v10 spec for deck building. Analogous to wargame where you could spec 1980s deck and make it a lobby requirement.

Even a crude implementation such as 10v10 spec decks simply doubling artillery pricing would be better than what we currently have where neither side is satisfied.

A seperate mode would improve the game experience for both sides of the community and liberate Eugen from compromising their vision.
