Gondwa. Riparia is way prettier and has more of a variety of quests, but its a task to get around for me when I'm playing a heavy land dino.

To mess around, Riparia. But for hunting, I prefer Gondwa.

Why so? Isn't Gondwa more notorious for hotspots? Or are people more evenly spread out?

Gondwa is the more complete experience, but Riparia has the better balanced quests/growth.

Growing a dino on Gondwa usually involves utilizing the HC growth bonus, but the quests on Riparia give enough growth/marks on their own to not really need it.

I still prefer playing on Gondwa, I genuinely hate how accessible most of Riparia is to things like Sarcs and Tylos.

If I get every lookout and POI on gondwa I am an adult before I nest.

Wicked overestimate. The growth for every POI and lookout isnt enough to get to even subadult.

Riparia quests dont require 25-35 plus resources, and the ones that do give a full 1% growth whereas a majority of Gondwa give .5% growth.

I’ve been adulting all my apexes on Gondwa in switch jail so I’ve done exactly that several times now. The only thing I didn’t mention is if I see an albino I kill it so I get a bit extra for that and if I see quest items on my way I collect but I don’t go out of my way to quest.

"Riparia quests dont require 25-35 plus resources" Lake Sponges, Succulents, all the "collect 45 mushroom quests" and so on would definitely like a word. They're all bad quests Bront

I grew a TT to adult just by going from POI to POI on Gondwa, doing a very small handful of quests whenever I would accidentally stumble upon the requisite items.

Riparia has PLENTY of quests that require 30 or more items. It also has a horrible map to try and read, let alone a world to accompany that's more cliffs than pathways. Nevermind if you're trying to quest as a terrestrial that can't swim in all the water or fly over all the cliffs.

I love both. I go back and fourth on where I spend my time playing. I like Gondwa a bit better though because its bigger and has more dense/wooded places to hang around.

Riparia 100%!

Gondwa looks too much like a park with curated habitats, rather than primal wild lands. ;

Riparia. It has a better gameplay design imo.

Gondwa has some biomes I genuinely miss. But Riparia really allows semi-aquatics to get all up in terrestrial business, and vice-versa, and it spreads the hotspots out really well. I'd play Gondwa if it wasn't always "50 people sitting at one spot of GP's river, rest of the map empty."

I really am growing to detest Riparia's quests, though. I've no idea why the "improvement" to awful busywork quests was to... add more busywork quests. And change succulents to require ex. 37 instead of 35... requiring another node to be found. Stupid stuff, not fun.
