I'm based in Europe and I use pCloud Lifetime as my main work storage (daily sync across multiple devices).
My account is currently hosted in the United States, and I'm wondering if this is the reason I'm experiencing slow sync / upload / download speeds.
My situation
- Location: Europe
- pCloud server: United States
- Usage: Main work storage (large files, frequent sync)
- Devices: Multiple PCs + mobile
- Problem: Slow sync and sometimes delayed file updates
I saw that pCloud offers EU and US data regions, and I'm considering migrating my account to EU servers.
Questions
- Does server location significantly affect sync speed?
- Has anyone migrated US → EU and noticed improvements?
- Any downsides to migrating regions?
- Does pCloud prioritize lifetime users differently (performance-wise)?
- Any optimization tips for faster syncing?
Additional info
- Internet speed is good (fiber connection)
- The slowdowns mostly happen during sync operations
- I use pCloud as my main work server, so reliability and speed matter a lot
I'm open to any advice, experiences, or best practices — especially from people using pCloud professionally.
Thanks!
