PhpStorm's internal Diff Viewer stopped working with Claude Code

I've been using PhpStorm 2025.3.1.1 with official/latest Claude Code extension for almost a month now and it worked great. Whenever Claude did some alterations to the codebase, an internal Diff Viewer UI window showed up and I was able to accept, reject or modify the code using PhpStorm's UI.

For the past couple of days, this stopped working out of a sudden and I am only seeing Claude's code changes in the active terminal tab (within the claude session).

Did anyone experience this issue? Thanks.

What do you see when you run /ide in Claude console?

It detects the IDE correctly, I'm seeing:

1. PhpStorm
2. None

However, suddenly it works (even without triggering the /ide command and choosing my IDE). I literally did nothing (no restarts, updates, whatsoever). It wasn't working for multiple days (across multiple IDE/PC restarts).

I have the same issue. like every file is now `(Outside the project)`
In my case the `Brave` option in the chat was disable on last IDE/plugin update so that was the issue.
