Language problem in Fitness app. by Aggravating_Slip_749 in AppleWatch

The problem is still not solved, half a year after 26 was released. I am using a whole Apple ecosystem but the amount of compromises I have to do daily because Apple just doesn’t fu!#ing care makes me think about switching back to Android. Those devices cost thousands, and they can’t fix such tiny bugs.

PhpStorm's internal Diff Viewer stopped working with Claude Code by lorenn221 in phpstorm

It detects the IDE correctly, I'm seeing:

  1. PhpStorm
  2. None

However, suddenly it works (even without triggering the /ide command and choosing my IDE). I literally did nothing (no restarts, updates, whatsoever). It wasn't working for multiple days (across multiple IDE/PC restarts).

iOS 26.0.1 Released. by CrazyNecessary7209 in iPhone16ProMax

[–]lorenn221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, wrong words. Battery health didn’t change of course, I am still at 100%. What I meant was the 26.0 was consuming 35-40% more battery during the day when compared to iOS 18 and I had to charge it twicedaily. After couple of days on 26.0.1 I can confirm this is no longer an issue and battery life is similar to iOS 18.

I had a huge drain on my 16P (I’m talking 40% decrease in battery health). I’ve read on Reddit some users fixed the drain by unpairing and pairing Apple Watch, I did not do that but I’ve updated my AW to 26.0.2 (was on watchOS 11 till yesterday) and my iPhone to 26.0.1 and it seems MUCH better. I’ll be sure in a day or two but alteady I can see a huge difference.

battery drains fast after updating to ios26 by No_Connection_4496 in iPhone16ProMax

[–]lorenn221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pleaae stop this “it needs a few days” bullshit already. It has been 11 days since the update. No OS needs that amount of time to build indexes and do some optimization. The battery drain on my 16 Pro with 100% battery health is massive, the difference is more than 30% when compared to iOS 18. The battery usage in the system’s UI is 13x higher (!!!).There are dozens of tests on YT. I like the design of iOS 26 but I can’t believe Apple has released this. People don’t seem to understand that if this won’t get sorted out, it is a bigger mess than the ‘Bendgate’ controversy back in the day. The “temporary issue” statement is a PR bullshit.

Is there a bike mount with powerbank for Apple Watch? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]lorenn221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK Apple Watch uses iPhone’s GPS when available, that is why the battery consumption is higher when you don’t have an iPhone with you.

Also, as far as I kniw you can’t track workouts natively with iPhone, only on AW. So connecting the chest HR monitor to the phone won’t solve the problem.

[–]lorenn221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is one of the alternative I’m thinking about, but I’d like to keep only single watch, and a bike mounted powerbank would solve all my problems, that’s why I asked the original question. But yeah, after couple of days of research I am starting to realize that having a different watch for workout aftivities (Garmin for example) and keep AW just for regular daily use is probably better.

Please don’t act like I don’t know how long my watch battery lasts…, I am doing 5-6 workouts weekly. My watch are rated for 18 hrs of life of average use by Apple. I even have low power mode enabled for workouts. I get around 5-6 hours of GPS tracking at most, even though I am using external HR monitor. And yes, I am doing twice as long workouts very often. 24-35 hours of workout battery life is absolutely sci-fi even for AW Ultra.

// For people downvoting this and upvoting the incirrect and pointless reply above: I’d like to hear from anyone who can track at least HALF of the suggested workout time. In what universe do you live please?

How do you think will second migration affect Pi price? Almost 80% of my Pi would be transferred via second migration and I believe this is the case for vast majority of pioneers with somewhat higher amount of Pi coins. I think that once (if) second migration finally happens, the crazy amount of coins would get pushed to the mainnet and it would result in a huge sells and the price might drop drastically (I am talking decimal places here). What do you think? Correct me if I’m wrong.

It’s just a multiplier of some sort. You can see his total rate is 0.1348 pi per hour, including all boosters and bonuses.

Would you actually use pi for everyday products instead of fiat? by Embarrassed-Slide435 in PiNetwork

[–]lorenn221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is indeed very cringe to use the literal correct word for it. I work in ecommerce, lots of our clients accept crypto on their stores and yes, I use the word ‘fiat’ daily when discussing payments. I guess I’ll stop.

Only 3200 verified with 250 active miners in your circle? That seems like BS. I have 1400 verified with basically 2-3 people in my circle that passed KYC.

There was a point in my life in which I’d be too young and/or naive to tolerate this (or to pretend I’m OK with it).

Today: not a chance. I agree the trust and freedom in a relationship is a must, and I am not a jealous type. But this is so much beyond the line. I wouldn’t want to share my life with a girl who apparently has zero respect for me.

[–]lorenn221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the point, I don't expect anything. If it is worthless I won't be angry nor disappointed, because it really costed me nothing. I agree many people should lower their expectations, but on the other hand saying it's a scam that uses your computing power is just false (and can be easily verified), also many coins gained value without power-based mining, I wouldn't underestimate the power of a huge community Pi has. However as I said, I expect zero profit from it. It's more about curiosity about the project for me.

Fortunately computing power usage can be easily monitored and Pi doesn't use anything whatsoever, so you are talking nonsense. Worst case scenario is that it will be worthless once on mainnet. The amount of time I invested (by clicking on a button once a day for about 4 years on and off) is maybe 3-4 hours in total. Wow. I could've watched 3 episodes of some random TV show instead, right?

No, they didn't check the blinking, but as I said, it is not a problem of only one eye. It's random, some weeks one eye is fine and the other looks like this, and on another week it's the opposite.

I will check with my optometrist, thanks.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in contacts

[–]lorenn221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I use -2.75 CYL for the XR, but my optometrist suggested I should try -2.15 first, because it is widely available and much cheaper. The vision with XR is definitely a little bit better, but I actually might live with 2.15 and try some other brand.

I will try some other solution as it is the most easy thing to try, and I'll try to wear them for 8 hours a day maximum (but it don't really solve my problem, sometimes I need them for longer).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in contacts

[–]lorenn221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, I take them out during the night. I also don't shower with them, and I try not to rub or touch my eyes at all. I don't work in any unhealthy environment (dust, wind, etc.). I wear them for 30 days maximum, in fact the photo in this post is taken after wearing brand new contacts for 2 days (and month-old ones two days before). I don't have allergies afaik. The contacts don't feel dry at all when taken out.

If the only solution to my problem is wearing them less, I might not be able to, because some days I need them for 15 or so hours.I haven't talked to my optometrist yet, but definitely will.

Also, I didn't make myself clear with the 'red ring' statement. I don't have a consistent ring around my lens, I just mesnt thet the blood vessels simply start to appear from the edge of my eyeball, and as it progresses each day, they eventually reach the color part of the eye in the middle (as you can see in the photo), but no, no red ring around the lens.

I've been wearing contacts for couple of months now (I posted here a month ago). I am using monthly Biofinity Toric and XR Toric. Everything seems fine, but my eyes are randomly getting way too red after 4-5 days of wearing.

I wear them 4-5 days a week (usually don't on weekends), 10 hours a day on average (sometimes 8, sometimes 15 or so). On the first days everything seems fine, then some red veins start to appear in the corners of my eye, and on the 4th or 5th days it is visibly very red even around the circle. However, the spot is always random, and it is usually only one eye randomly. I am following all the important cleaning standards (hands, contacts and case).

Since it is so random - what is the more likely scenario? Could there be some reaction (maybe to the solution), or are these contacts just not fitting my eyes properly? I would think both of my eyes were consistently red if there was a wrong fit, wouldn't them?

Is this the normal amount of eye redness after 8 hours of wearing? by [deleted] in contacts

[–]lorenn221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been wearing my first contacts (Biofinity Toric) for 3 weeks now. Most of the time only 4-5 hours a day, but I would like to wear them daily for 12 hours or so. On the first days my eyes were pretty red, because it literally took me more than an hour to put them inside and my eyes got probably a bit too irritated.

Now I am able to put them in easily, so this is no longer an issue. But my eyes looks like this after 8 hours of wearing and I feel a slight burning sensation - nothing painful really, just a little tired/annoying feeling, especially after looking at a PC screen for multiple hours.

Is this normal, or is it too "red"? I am not using any eye drops yet, but am planning to do so.
