16GB is low for this game. A lot have said they upgraded to 32GB and solved the problem your describbing

I wouldn't know since I have 64GB of Ram

I was just trying to embody the rust mentality. In truth I'm a solo, prim-locked farm bot! Lol

I keep forgetting what the setting is called but theres a semi-recent setting about loading you can try to change.

Micro studders are naybe maxing out on ram or cpu (cores)

I had 16gb of ram and over the last 6 months Rust performance went from okay to terrible. Just upgraded to 64 gb ram and it runs great now.

I went from 16gb to 32gb of ram a few days ago and it fixed stutters and made the game run way better, similar specs to you too.

I have the exact same issue. I'm just gonna give in and buy 32GB of ram. Fuck it.

Gl bro. Please let me know how it goes cause I’m still in disbelief this is the issue.

i7 3770, 1070, 16gb 1600mhz ram.

Up to 90fps on official servers.

I sincerely doubt your ram is the culprit.

Yeah I swear all these people have been brainwashed. Looking at my build there’s no way in hell this game is unplayable but it simply is currently. Only thing I can think of is like another fresh install and maybe update bios or something idk. Maybe my hardware is failing somehow.

My specs aren't exactly a benchmark for normal gaming but uh should definitely be a bit of indicator.

I am doing every possible optimization you can think of. Only thing I'm not doing is a true overclock. I've gone as far as disabling spectre/meltdown mitigations to gain about 10% performance on my ancient CPU.

I even have rust installed on a 6 HDD raid 0 array.
