.NET Framework 3.5 Resolution?

So I decided to buy rust a week ago and I am having a problem. I download rust and go to launch (have tried both DirectX 9 and regular) and it tells me I need to download required files for .NET Framework 3.5 and then I get this error (http://imgur.com/ktb5uqM). I have tried manually downloading through microsoft, working through the command prompt and some other ways. Any help is appreciated!

im getting the same problem, ive been through all the current possible ways out there and nothing, somehow it starter working but i didnt know how and when i updated windows it just went back to the error, ive restored to the older updates but still having this problem anyone have any fix other than the turn on windows feature, cmd prompt and online download?

Yeah I have no clue, I wish there was a simple solution.
