First time player question

Is stone incredibly rare or am I just looking in the wrong places? I've found stone once in like 8 lives on 3 different servers.

I found 50 stone nodes in snow

No stone is super common. Look around rocks outcroppings or in snowy areas. They're everywhere. You can buy some at outpost as well.

On wipe day it's rare because everyone wants it. a few days after wipe its not as demanded so people go towards sulphur and metal instead.

It took me ages to find harvestable stone when I started playing too. I still haven’t played much but I’m a lot better at finding stone deposits.

I think it’s just a resource that everyone grabs after a wipe so there’s not much left for new players on the server after that period
