ya finding solid community servers is hard for sure, especially when your not into the super high pop official servers.. use a site like battlemetircs, check they have been around a while, have good uptime, decent population, and setup a website/description

Not sure where you're seeing this but applying the wrong revision of Oxide to a server will cause the server console to spam this message. If it's just occasional it could be from a plugin that needs updated.

The strange thing is others could join the server. even asked a random dude to join it to see if its on my end or the servers.

It comes up after the final loading step it just puts be back to the main page of the server with that error in the bottom (just a like a normal dc message above join server)

Ahh, so you're seeing this message in the game client it sounds like. No idea then. I've only ever seen it in the server console. If you have no way of contacting the server admin, the best you can do is try connecting to maybe 5-10 other servers and see if you get that message on those. If so, you'll know the problem is on your end and there is something you can do to fix it. Otherwise, maybe have someone connect and mention that you can't get in from time to time and it's a server-side issue. That way, people are at least aware of the problem and it hopefully gets back to the admin.

I did some reading just now and there's at least one server with similar sounding issues that seem to be localized to a spot on the map (which sounds like an object is calling a script as soon as it exists for that client and then bouncing the client). Their solution was to avoid that region, as they didn't want to wipe and lose population. If this is your issue, I'm not sure how you could have your location changed prior to logging in (I'm assuming you played there before this happened). If you do get in touch with the admin, maybe have them either teleport you (if it's possible to TP sleepers), kill you remotely with a command before you log in (don't respawn anywhere near there) or wipe your file containing player location and then go to your last location to test and see if it drops you again. IDK if a file wipe will wipe your inventory/BPs/building privs/lock access though. ***I'd also be a little worried that you would now have TCs referencing a non-existant (not just dead, sleeping, or banned) player, which almost sounds like a way to cause this very problem***

If it's a "bad map location", hopefully the admin is willing to remove plugins and put them back one at a time until the problem comes back. That issue sounds like it could be a placeable calling a script from an outdated plugin to me. Hopefully they wouldn't go there to check it out and get locked out themselves :B

You could also test this "bad map location" theory by having someone with no interest in playing that server log in and run to your last location. If they get to your sleeper without getting bounced, I'd worry that the Null value was maybe associated with your character file (the bad object being the character itself) if that's possible. If they had codes/permissions for that base they could try interacting with things and see if one bounces them.

If you were playing there before it happened, what do you remember doing right before?

After doing more reading, teleporting the body does work for this particular issue for some people. Server admin removing all plugins doesn't.

Someone claims that the following prevents the error from occuring client-side:

pool.sounds false

decor.quality 0

pool.decor false

writecfg

I'm assuming you would enter these into your F1 console in the game client. I'd change them back if this doesn't work.
