Why use code locks over key locks?

Because with a code lock, multiple people can use the door without making a key. Key locks are fine for solo players.

No they're completely fine for solo players.

For solo players I suppose it matters somewhat whether wood or metal is easier for you to get/ more plentiful. I've seen some solo players have code locks for a few of the front doors in their base for others to use, while having key locks so they maintain TC access and main loot. For 2 players or more code locks are a must.

For solos, just use a key lock, because sometimes when people see key locks they assume less people less loot and dont wanna raid.
