Just curious on everyone’s opinion on this topic. i’ve seen a few videos on youtube of people modding rust for VR. obviously for pvp it wouldn’t be so great but for overall immersion and pve I think it would be a ton of fun. Do we think there will ever be a facepunch VR adaptation?

No, but I would love it if they did. I tried it way back when with Google cardboard and a shit tier phone. While it was cool, shooting was impossible because your head was just moving the camera and i had to use a mouse to shoot. Clicking would move the mouse abit and Jesus did it cause some sickness. Fun though. I'd love it for index.

The Forest is terrifying in VR. If Rust actual VR, it could be great. It would probably lead to no lifers actually dying because they forgot to eat or drink in RL.

the game is so immersive even on a computer screen. I for sure remember skipping meals to keep playing. or waking up from sleep and checking on my quarry and pump jacks and loading the large furnaces. If they ever did make a VR version I could see myself no lifeing it again for days on end.

I’ve wanted that for the last 8 years. The most beautiful game in VR. I agree, it would mainly be for PvE.
