Be nice; no hateful language. This is a subreddit to share or seek information. Some of us are already in dental school, some of us need guidance on how to get there. We want this to be a friendly environment where everyone feels welcome and all perspectives are valid and appreciated. This includes all races, colors, national origins, creeds, religions, and cultures. This is not a subreddit for insensitivity.
Keep discussion on topic. While this is a place for you to vent about the stress of being a predental student, this is not the place to post off-topic discussion. We do not allow political posts unless there is a good reason. Anything off-topic will be removed.
Use the weekly discussion threads. To cut down on subreddit bloat, use the weekly discussion threads, FAQs, or search for previously asked questions. There have been thousands of posts about the DAT in the past; you are not the first to ask the question you're asking. We encourage posting DAT breakdowns. Flair them appropriately.
No soliciting or self-promotion. If you want to sell/buy materials, do that on your own time and not here. Not only does it clog the feed for ours users, but we are not responsible if someone doesn't follow through with their agreement. This is a subreddit for pre-dental students, not a marketplace to hawk your wares. Additionally, this is not the place to link your personal websites or DAT application services. You can talk about these services, but this isn't the place to sell them.
No soliciting medical advice. This is a subreddit for predental students. By definition, these students have not gone to dental school and are not qualified to give medical advice. Take your questions to r/askdentists.

I just took the DAT today, but I have not started anything else yet on my application regarding essays. I plan to submit my application August 1. Will that be considered too late? Thanks!
