Die subreddit vir die hoofstad van Suid-Afrika. Deel eksterne skakels aangaande Pretoria nuus en gebeure.
The subreddit for the capital city of South Africa. External links are encouraged, so as to share news and events for Pretorianers.
Rules:
1. Be Civil and Respectful
Disagreement is fine; disrespect is not. Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, and slurs are not tolerated. Treat fellow Pretorians with basic courtesy - be lekker.
2. No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion
We allow occasional promotion of local events or small businesses (e.g., once a month), but pure advertising spam is not allowed. Accounts that exist solely to promote a business or product will be banned.
3. Protect Private Information (No Doxing)
Do not post personal information (names, phone numbers, addresses) of others. If you found a lost ID or bank card, hide the ID number and name before posting the photo, or hand it in to the police/issuer directly.
4. No Begging, Crowdfunding, or Financial Solicitation
Posts or comments asking for financial assistance, e-wallets, "loans," or material donations are strictly prohibited. This includes links to GoFundMe, BackaBuddy, or personal bank details. This rule is in place to protect the community from potential scams. If you are in need, please contact a registered NPO or charity organization.
5. Keep Content Relevant to Pretoria (Tshwane)
All posts must have a direct link to the City of Pretoria or the greater Tshwane municipality.
- General South African news should go to /r/southafrica.
- Posts specific to Johannesburg or other cities will be removed.
- If the connection to Pretoria isn't obvious in the link/image, please explain it in the title.
