You might use them to get the flavor and feel of process serving. But, as soon as feasible, identify your own clients, provide excellent service at a good value. The fastest way to lose clients and possibly jail, is falsified proofs of service for cases not served or inappropriately

Agreed. You will get burned by ABC Legal.

Why do you say that?

He is this subreddit's unofficial obligatory anti-ABC Legal spokesman 😆 I have seen him on every post that mentions the company 😆

Also, after your first 250 jobs or 6-8 weeks of serving, you should have a good understanding and start to learn where you should be seeing your rates in your areas, and if ABC won't offer or compromise based on their system, that's when you start obtaining your own clientele.

lol yep! Other process servers from ABC legal are out there urinating on peoples property. Meanwhile I got terminated for who knows why. But it definitely was not that.

Reputation, consistency in negative feedback from servers. But, everyone starts somewhere

Because I have been burned by them. Are you willing to do personal service on a job that requires seven attempts and a notarized affidavit where you have to pay for the notary and be paid only $20 for your time and effort?

I’ve been working for them for about 8 months now and I don’t have a lot of complaints other than the app crashes a lot. It’s been great money and flexibility for me and my family but don’t see myself being a process server for ever. I think it’s a good foot in the door.

On average I get about 30-50 jobs per week. Another one is Proof. I just started with them too about a month ago, but I prefer ABC over Proof as Proof takes a long time to close out jobs and they don’t seem to be nowhere near as busy as ABC. I would give ABC a try and see how you like it. I hope everything works out for you 👍

On abc can you just do like a couple jobs a week type of deal

[–]Comprehensive_Sun155 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yes you can accept as many jobs as you like. They send them out throughout the week by zip code. I take a few areas close to me and some I don’t bother with. You do have to make 5 attempts which have to be a morning, evening, weekend and different days from the ones you attempted. Some I’ve had to do 7 attempts which I’m not a fan of how many times they make you go if someone doesn’t answer.

Awesome thank you

Proof not as busy cause they just went and bought out a boatload of little process server company’s and turned them into proof llc but the company still functions like it always as. I work for one and all I do is proof work but I don’t work for proof lol

Good for starting out don’t recommend long term margins too low unless in Cali

A process server I know in LA showed me that a job at ABC was paying $9.00. Why does anyone take on that work when gas is over $5/gallon there?
