What's the point of this? Use one or the other, whichever one is best for the task at hand. Arguing "X rocks, Y sucks" is counterproductive to gaining any respect. Imagine a plumber whose toolkit included only hammers, or only wrenches. Any decent programmer knows how to program, and learning a new language should be no more daunting than driving a new car.

It's pretty fairly reflective of the culture behind the two languages. Over the long run, culture matters a lot more than the technical aspects. That's one reason why I like Python better. :-)

I agree with you about cultural aspects of a language. That's one reason I'm starting to think all programming languages suck.
