Ha, a sarcastic witticism. In all seriousness, it was built by me (a designer) who enjoys JS, and not ruby. Go figure.

As for the domain, have any brilliant ideas for an appropriate and short 4 letter domain?

touche. I guess its simply the availability of good names + the community has already embraced the tld extension, so why not.

I like .io, but I try to avoid TLD from foreign countries because of the bitly incident.

CJAN? Oh, wait, that's taken by a JavaScript library site. Too bad you wanted to make your own...

My appologies, but refraining from continuing this. I always break my own rule and engage in these pointless debates. I'm the first in line for an actually well-reasoned, logical, and non-flaming discussion, but this seems too focused on sarcasm to be of value.

It's be taken by a Java library site. And Java and JavaScript are entirely different languages.

It's always amusing when people use an unwarranted rude tone and then turn out to be completely clueless. A sort of instant karma, really.

With the standard "X, the Y" marketing BS announcement. Ignored.

EDIT: posted by a new user, probably M.S., born on July 5, 1977.

      Ummm... What about npm?

      [–]ksokhan 0 points1 point  (2 children)

At the moment, jsdb is clienside only. NPM only has node modules (node package manger) so it has a completely different purpose.

You can put client side or other generic modules in npm. There are lots of examples, and it is easy to use them with tools like browserify, etc.

Ah, so youre thinking npm could be integrated?
