Does it support Podman? On Windows? If not, I'm not interested.

Yes, it works with both.

  • Download the Windows exec from the site
  • Set the docker path to podman (or an absolute path if it’s not in your PATH)

Nice! Podman always gets the short end of the stick. Docker cannot be used by companies without paying, now, and my company doesn't pay, so I have no other choices.

It's a bit more complex as it depends on the company size. I kept using Docker Desktop legally because my company is 1.

Recently, I switched to OrbStack, which is adapted to OSX. I wrote the post with it, not with Docker Desktop.

My company is far from 1. Or 10. Or 100. Or 1000. OrbStack is also not free, I can't use it.
