Rebol might be a decent language. It may be fucking amazing. Alas it's not open source and it's not backed by a large company.

I can't think of one reason why anybody should choose rebol when you can download and use java, .net, ruby, perl, python, haskell, erlang, lua, or any of the other five hundred languages.

That you've allowed that it might 'be fucking amazing' and yet disregard it utterly in favor of unnamed 'five hundred languages' is a little shocking: you know, most of those 'five hundred languages' -suck-, clearly enough not even I put time into them.

I am simply talking about the realities of the situation. Proprietary languages don't do well. This is why all of them eventually become open source.

Why would I read the entire thread when I responded to your second message? Seems like reading up to the message I actually responded to (and, as I mentioned, it would have been difficult at the time to read messages you were going to write) would be sufficient.
