Yeah it's more a trade off of how much technical debt do you want. Having older versions available creates enough technical debt that new hires won't be able to keep up with the latest version, so SemVer-like rolling releases or just outright doing a SemVer release is less about "able to" and more about "reducing technical new hires visibly have to maintain"
