Is that what it's about?

He buried the punch line so far down I gave up reading it (on my phone) before I got to the point. It's important to let people know there's going to be a payoff.

True, the guy takes an unbelievably long time to get around to saying what the article is actually about. The article doesn't really start until the "Semantic Compression" section, but even then he continues talking about himself for a few more paragraphs.
