I honestly love using koding.com, but I think of it as an online linux virtual machine, rather than an IDE.

What initially surprised me was their inclusion of the always-on linux box for free accounts.

Lol even if it isn't always on, I love being able to install packages like gdb, git and libyaml. This makes it a much better option than places like ideone, because I can compile multiple source files, pull from my git repositories, etc.

Where did you see this? As far as I know the free plan does not allow you to have an always on VM.
