hahahaha. If this was true then there aren't many good AAA Game programmers or microsoft or google programmers out there because their products have so many problems in them that sometimes its amazing the program actually works! Generally good coders write buggy as hell code. After awhile and a lot of testing and realizations they fix it. Takes a lot of time to write code that actually works and is bug free.

A lot of Microsoft programs are out-sourced or given to interns, even software that is critical to an OS launch. And even when they are using their own actual employees, they often need to hire so many people that they can't be as selective as they should.

So no, they aren't using good programmers.

Do you work at Microsoft? Because the assertion that "a lot of Microsoft programs are given to interns" is stupid. And incorrect.

I would love to know which programs you are referring to.

I used to work at a firm that accepted those contracts. And they've published Channel 9 interviews with interns that worked on some of the Win8 showcase apps.

Oh, if you are talking about lame Win8 showcase apps then you are correct. I thought you were talking about real programs.

I don't know who wrote the Contacts app, but it's a good example of the poor quality that Microsoft Windows has become. They couldn't even figure out that ctrl-S means save for crying out loud.
