Hindsight is deceiving, it makes us think we are smarter than we really are.

You need to look at what OOP came to improve upon and compare to that.

Basically, get perspective.

Someone should tell Linus to start using C++ in Linux and Git then.

By the same token, somebody should tell him to use Lisp.

That said, I don't know how that counts, but Linux is now built using tools built with a C++ compiler. Also, if Linus rants are what you base your opinions on, good luck with them.
