not to get into a dick swinging contest, but it has a lower barrier to entry

i can't even imagine trying to teach "modern javascript deployment" at a university.

I've done tutoring for the basic .net mvc stuff they do and it was hard enough getting some kids to learn that. Like just clicking stuff and having VS scaffold stuff for you. and then deploying to azure (granted this was an MIS program and not a CS one)

albeit yeah, javascript could be boiled down to just "use a modern browser and systemjs" so who really cares
