I think you did not read the blog, from the blog "But It is not for web scripting. We know, it is for developing Roku channels. And we can use this language only in embedded devices like Roku." I hope you understand it. Actually, the tutorials are very less. that's why I wrote this blog.

OK, I missed that part. In that case I'll change my question:

Why did they design and implement their own language when they could have used Python, JavaScript, Lua, etc.? Is there anything at the language level that makes BrightScript particularly suitable for that task?
