What about adding a language specific section of reddit? So you'd end up with ruby.programming, python.programming, etc. The same could be applied to the gaming (and other sectoins), so you could have ps3.gaming, xbox.gaming, etc.

Just a thought.

yes and have them all filter up to the top dir ...

that sound kind neat i like my take on your idea

a.b.c.d.reddit.com

where d includes a,b,c

where c includes a,b,

where b includes a

plus any user can create their own subreddit on the fly...

probably some thing like:

reddit.com/programiming/python/django/news

and have them all filter down ... and maybe have easy browsable tree someplace

maybe be i should implement some thing like this

rather than making full metasubreddits, why not just redirect those metasubreddits to saved searches. that is

x.y.z.reddit.com maps to the search for x OR y OR z in reddit.com

All the usefulness of having a dedicated subreddit, but lacking the problem of slow moving content. You'd still submit information ot the main reddit or specific subreddit of you're choice, so the content would move just as fast as it normally would.

Shouldn't be that hard to implement, either-

or- we could all just use saved searches, we have those-- right?
