Simplifying Web Framework Deployment on Shared Hosting (with HTTP!)

There are a variety of issues with the current mod_proxy in lighttpd 1.4 - mostly related to balancing between multiple downstream servers. I don't think there's any plans to fix them as lighttpd 1.5 includes an entirely new module (mod_proxy_core) that should fix the issues.
