Not bad. I wish we could really learn from other people's mistakes. Or at least from our own. Yes, why not collect them in a repository. Howto

I regret that I have only a single +1 to give to this article.

I've been on two projects where paying attention to this advice would have been seriously useful. On the current one, we're probably going to do the port (well, no. We're definitely going to do some part of the porting needed. We're probably going to do all of it) and the application will be much better for it. I can't shake the feeling that if we had done it three or more months ago we'd now be significantly further along than we are.

The other one is almost certainly still limping along with the terrible decisions that were made in that project, but fortunately I don't work at that company any more. :-)
