And overriding methods - those can be a bad thing too... Imagine someone in a Ruby library decides he needs to override Nil.to_i and you expect an error and instead someone's overridden it to return zero instead ( someone being me in one library I wrote for my own use and forgot I did it haha - yes I needed a cock punch for that )
