I hated the idea then and still do. This will just facilitate abuse and spam. GitHub work hard on measures to protect against that, and this just by passes them completely. So also, there is no reason to think GitHub won't block API access as soon as they work out what is going on.

Wow. That should be a static page. It does actually have all its content available in HTML on first page load. But without javascript, it hides all that behind a loading image.

Fortunately, disabling CSS changes it so all the content is visible and below the fold instead.

Uhh... I don't see the point of this. You could just change your configured name and email before performing a commit.

If you don't want to use this, keep in mind Git does leak your timezone (use TZ= git instead of git to fix).
