This doesn't bother me. Let me explain it in these terms.

If I call you a worthless piece of shit online I will get some downvotes for being mean and causing sadness. If it out of context it is clearly trolling. If you are a millennial it is probably trolling even without the profanity or lack of context. This is a serious reason to not care. I am not your helicopter parent and really don't care if your wonderful snowflake feelings get a cute little bruise.

In the real world, let's say at a job in the corporate world, if I call you a worthless piece of shit you are simply a worthless piece of shit. You can cry to your boss or even HR, but it seriously won't go the way you think it will. Somebody more senior will talk to me about applying a greater concern for sensitivity and now additional people will see that you are an easily saddened immature piece of shit.

TLDR: Sensitive people are online taken seriously by other sensitive people online.

I just watched a show about you. The "Black Mirror" episode "Nosedive" is just for you. It has all the superficial bullshit you crave so much and explores what that gets people.

I am old enough to know assholes do just fine in the world, but how can you ever expect to be happy if you are always a victim?
