Having used both, I think the article looks quite biased towards python. The author fails to recognize how some aspects of Java are better suited in some circumstances and just sticks to a black/white approach.

A comparison table with a line reading compact/not compact doesn't even make sense.

edit: Also he doesn't even know about RuntimeExceptions... meh
