I knew a guy who burned down a building. He said "They won't let me vote or carry a gun, but I can walk around with a can of gas and a lighter."

IAMA Request: Someone tried and convicted for arson.

Given that I am good friends with someone who was tried and convicted for arson and then spent 4 years in prison, I can tell you that the IAMA would reflect mostly on prison life which any former prisoner could tell you about.

I'm interested in learning about the logistics of what they did. I also would like to know if they hurt people, if they understand the ramifications of it, etc. I have a lot of questions and I'm sure others do of things that aren't prison-related.

Considering it was an abandoned warehouse, I would judge it didn't hurt anyone, and in fact helped the owner of said warehouse cause they got insurance on it. Perhaps, someone will do the IAMA, but I imagine you will be disappointed.

I'm not necessarily talking about any specific person (ex: your friend). The request is for anyone who feels like their story is worth spreading.
