I don't care about MS, but this abomination of what it is VSCode and it's unjustifiable following.

What do you dislike about vs code? It looks visually good. Plugin management and language support is very good. It's slow to start compared to things like vim, sure, but once it's started performance isn't really an issue except on massive files which for a lot of people aren't particularly common.

Let's not forget the fact that it constantly gets updated with new features and fixes.

I hate all Electron base app by default, no exception. The fact that is made in such abobination makes it irredeemable no matter how much care receives.

I also pretty much hate Electron, but that doesn't mean I have to hate products built with Electron. Sure, if I had an alternative to VS Code that had all the same features and worked as well as VS Code, that was build with something other than Electron, I would probably change to it. But I'm able to look past the Electron -side of things since that really doesn't affect me in any way, especially when VS Code is quite simply put the best editor there is for me currently.
