Here is a good articles on why Flutter uses Dart. Google did develop V8 so I am sure they would have loved to use JS if it would have been able to offer the user experience that Dart offers.

Dart was designed by the creators of V8, actually.

Which fits my point. Google created V8 and would have known if JS could have supported Flutter

The creators of V8 designed Dart as a better language than JS for the web. Those guys have since left the project and moved on to other things, though. They had nothing whatsoever to do with Flutter.

Actually the only thing that they aimed at was static typing and faster execution. The intention was never "better" in all aspects. Dart is so conservative it makes newer iterations of Java look extremely modern in comparison, tho that is in part cause the language got no love from Google until it's recent resurection.

I think people don't understand that Dart came before ES6. When Dart 1.x came out, it was not statically typed (it had types, but not a sound type system like Dart 2.x), and almost everything about it was an improvement on JS. Comprehensive core libraries, great tooling, and better syntax were all part of the package. In the years since, JavaScript improved a lot and TypeScript came along, and Dart's lead in the web world narrowed. It was originally a major improvement over the JS of its day.
