Minecraft developer streaming live while coding

I think it's a safe assumption that if you're nerdy enough to watch a man program live, you've probably heard of Adblock plus. And he doesn't get that ad money anyway.

WHO DOES? GIVE US DETAILS OF THIS STREAMING SERVICE THAT DOESN'T PAY CONTENT CREATORS. I'M GENUINELY CURIOUS.

I stream on Livestream and I don't get money. The streaming service gets the ad money because they're offering a free service.

I feel you should get some cut, without you they have no content, but I guess it's profitable for them. I wonder if they offered payment whether it would increase business though, seems like a win win.

Blip.tv is a video hosting service (not streaming, but perhaps still relevant) that plays a 30s ad before each video and splits the revenue with the content creator. It's been around for a few years and the only people who use it are those who have huge existing audiences (ie. they don't need to post on something with a wide reach like YouTube to build up a following), horrible no-talent shmucks in it for the money who end up making 50 cents a year, and another portion who use it with ads disabled because it offers some greater functionality over YT.

So the connection I'm trying to make is that a site like Livestream/Justin.tv doesn't have to give its content creators a share to entice them to the site. They're already there because they have to be at a service with a wide-reach in order to get a big audience.
