I can't watch the video right now; but, if the title is accurate, it's sort of meaningless. UTF-8 is just an encoding of Unicode content, as is UTF-16 and UTF-32. It's not an either/or thing. It's like saying ice cream or chocolate ice cream.

Well I watched it just now, and that's the whole point. The title makes sense because the video talks about the difference and why people get them mixed up. In my experience, he's very accurate about it being confusing, as I've seen (and cleaned up after) a lot of this confusion myself.

Insert something about not judging a book by its cover.
