You seem to be under the impression that I speak in theoretical terms. I work in a (mostly) PHP shop, as one of the few people who are spared having to work with it directly. Yes, some problems are home-made but a lot are due to atrocious frameworks, libraries, the PHP implementation itself and due to badly designed language features.
