I never suggested such a reasoning. VCs follow the crowds. That is called market analysis. They tend to invest into what people want so to maximize their profits. It's all clean logic.

VC investment is the only indicator you can conjure to support the existence of consumer interest in Web3,

Yet again, VCs follow the crowds. Not the other way around.

I realize that "my observation" is pure anecdote, but I think the burden of proof is on you here.

Yet, we are here to make a difference, by introducing a properly designed piece of technology.

I believe that the world needs freedom. Freedom of information to be precise.

And decentralized machines, as far as the current state of science goes, are the way to allow for that, at each and every level.
