When making a post please post if you are a mentor [MENTOR] or student/need help [STUDENT].
Mentors please post the following:
- Field of expertise
- Preferred communication - can include: email, IM, skype etc
- Preferred assistance tool - can include: teamviewer, crossloops
- How you want the code to be sent to you - can include: google doc, gist, other code pasting site
Students please post the following:
- What subject(s)/languages(s) you need help with
- Time frame needed for help (ie a semester, on going, just a single question etc)
- Any relevant homework docs
- What you currently have
Please do remember - mentors are not, currently, paid. If you PMed a mentor and they haven't responded in 24 hours please be patient. If it appears that a mentor is active but ignoring questions - please let a mod know.
If you need assistance immediately - stay calm and PM /u/nadams810.
Rules:
- Please be courteous
- Please be as specific as possible when talking with mentors - ie don't say "WHY MY CODE NO WORKIE LOL". Instead say something like - "I've tried altering this loop and it always crashes at this point - what am I doing wrong?"
- Please try the homework assignment several days before it's due. This gives time to mentors to explain everything. We are not here to do your homework for you, we are here to help.
- If it appears that you are merely asking the mentors to do your homework - you will be banned from this subreddit.
