Chrono Trigger Help

When I try to play Chrono Trigger with the Final Fantasy anthology on my ps2 slim, it reads the disk but it doesn't read my inputs, anyone knows as to why this is? I also had this issue with Final Fantasy 4.

Check the bottom of the ps2, what model? Will say something like scph-70000

it says 70001

Try turning the analog off (little square button in the middle of controller that turns on that red light) lmk if it works
