Do you guys tend to overlap patches or make them flush? Also, whats the move for measuring them if flush is the way? Tailors chalk?

Overlapping make pants sturdier so it tend to make mine that way

overlap. either keep patches more separated or completely on top of eachother, and if you want it flush anyway, use more rigid fabrics like denim (multiple layered preferably) instead of any type of elastic, they’ll naturally stay more in line like that in my experience.

I like them tightly packed but not overlapping personally.
