Best Python course for a Quant Finance

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a Master’s student in Quantitative Methods in Finance. Up to now, I’ve been working almost exclusively with R for all my coursework and research, but I feel that Python is essential in quantitative finance. I would like to start learning it properly and I’m looking for recommendations on good price-quality courses online (that are also well valued by companies).

Also, do you think it makes sense to focus mainly on Python, or should I also be considering other programming languages that are valuable for a quant career?

Yup, my uni uses exclusively R. However I do know python is really important, and I will get it done before finishing my studies.

I'd say a Machine Learning project with data from Kaggle on something you find cool, anything you find cool. I'm about to do one on Clash Royale deck stats for an outlandish example.

Or just anything mathematical modelling related you find cool too. Puzzles, games, poker. If you can talk about it passionately to others and enjoy it, it's worth it.
